What’s the best way to position appliances in the kitchen?: The arrangement of the appliances must first and foremost facilitate all the normal daily activities performed in preparing food. For an orderly layout, it is a good idea to divide up the kitchen into four functional zones corresponding to the four normal operations: storage, washing, preparation and cooking.
Where’s the best place to put the oven?: The oven is generally placed directly under the gas rings/hotplates, but if there is enough space, it is better to place the oven in a column unit near the hob. An arrangement of this type allows easy access for cooking the food and also for cleaning the appliance.
What ways can we hide appliances in the kitchen?: The most common solution is to panel them i.e. to cover them with panels which are the same as the surfaces of the fitted kitchen units. Another option are cupboard cabins. Arranged in a corner, they allow you to save a lot of space and also to hide appliances such as a freezer or microwave.
Do built-in household appliances with dimensions higher than 60 cm exist?: It is possible to build in a 75, 80 or 90 cm hob, a 75 cm refrigerator and a 75 or 90 cm oven.
What material should I choose for the kitchen sink?: A Stainless Steel sink is undoubtedly the most inexpensive and functional solution: hygienic and durable, it can resist high temperatures and does not rust with time. Sinks incorporated into the worktop are quite trendy, both in laminate, composite and ceramics; it is an elegant solution but also resistant and secure.
What types of sinks should I choose for the kitchen?: The choice of sink depends on the height you want to position it with respect to the work surface. A recessed sink, positioned on the same level as the top is undoubtedly the most natural option. An integrated sink is, on the other hand, ideal if you choose to have a surface that is completely smooth with respect to the work surface, to create an aesthetically seamless effect.
When should I choose a corner sink?: If the layout of your furniture along the walls is interrupted by restrictions caused by doors and windows, a corner sink is the winning solution. It can also be used when a corner is created between a peninsula and the remaining modules of the composition, thus making a separation between the various zones.
What accessories can be integrated into the kitchen sink?: Based on the size of the basin, you can add functional accessories such as cutting boards and modules placed on top of the sink, which become practical work surfaces, as required, when you are cooking. In addition, integrating the sink with racks and trays makes an easier job of daily fruit and vegetable washing.
