Lube Volley Civitanova is the world champion. The team of Ferdinando De Giorgi took the championship trophy in Betim, in Brazil, after winning 3-1 in the final against the home team Sada Cruzeiro, ending a week in which captain Osmany Juantorena and his team had taken home four victories in the five matches played, only missing out to Kazan when the Lube team had already secured its place in the semi-final, after taking first place in the qualifying round.

This extraordinary sporting victory ends an equally extraordinary year for sales, as Gruppo LUBE confirmed its position, for the second half of 2019, as the pleading brand in the kitchen furniture sector and its top place in the kitchen manufacturers’ ranking in terms of domestic market share.

2019 was an equally satisfying year for the volleyball team, after first being crowned Italian champions in Perugia on 14 May and European champions on 18 May in Berlin and now its triumph in Brazil, after two seasons in which Lube came within a hair’s breadth of victory, only losing in the final to Kazan (2017), then in Trento (2018). Its victory in the World Club Championship now adds the only title that was missing from the already full display case of the kitchen manufacturer’s team.

It is the victory of a great company and ownership that has never bowed its head in defeat, but always risen stronger than ever before, and also the victory of all the fans who have worked as hard on the stands as the players do on the court.
